We are super excited to announce two residencies at Fak’ugesi Festival this year. Apply before 1 July 2019.
Fak’ugesi Digital Africa Residency: Is our annual one month digital arts residency In collaboration with Pro Helvetia Johannesburg & the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. Hosted in Johannesburg and leading into the 2019 Festival, Residents will work out of the Tshimologong Maker Space in preparation for their exhibition. This is a call for artists addressing technology and/or creative technologists, and is open to 3 artists from the SADC Region and 1 artist from Switzerland. More Info.
Floating Reverie Online Residency: In a collaboration celebrating 5 years of Floating Reverie. Fak’ugesi Festival hosts a special online digital arts residency. Floating Reverie invites artists, creatives, internet lovers, poets and activists from the Global South to respond. Floating Reverie’s //2Weekonline digital residency will act as a site of content discussion, reflection, exchange and generation alongside and as part of the Fak’ugesi festival this year. More Info.
